The Scout Section is for girls and boys aged 10 1/2 – 15.

Some of last years activities for Carey Park Scouts were canoeing, cycling, hiking and camping. They also cooked on wood fires and catering for themselves, visited the Bush Fire Brigade and Sea Rescue, learnt about First Aid and helped out with the Salvo’s Red Shield appeal. They have been on orienteering events in the Perth Hills and abseiled in a quarry.

Scouts arrange their own program around the Scout award scheme that has camp craft and citizenship as essential elements.
There are a large number of photos of Scout activities on this sites photo page.

The Scout section welcomes adult assistance. No special skills are required, just a sense of humour and willingness to be involved.

Please let us know when you are available to help – there is always something that you can do.

Meeting Time Tuesday 6.15pm – 8.30pm

Note that plans sometimes are forced to change. Please keep an eye on the news items for updates and make sure that you are on the Scout email list – you are welcome to add more than one address and Scouts are encouraged to have their own email address listed.
Many dates for the term are on the Calendar.

To ensure that Scouts do not miss out on events that they wish to participate in, it is essential that forms and payment are made by the due date.

Scouts are encouraged to arrange additional activities with a small group of Scout friends to complete Patrol Activity and other badges.

On Anzac Day (Wednesday 25th), Scouts are invited to cycle into the centre of Bunbury from Dalyellup Lakes (departing at 8.00am). Bikes will be left at the Sea Scout Hall for the duration of the parade and service and afterwards we will cycle back to Dalyellup.
Please ask if you would like to join but do not have a bike. Adults are welcome to join for the cycle. Cycle in Scout uniform and scarf, navy or black shorts are OK but must be knee length.
Non-cyclists should meet at the RSL between 10 and 10.15am. Scouts may carry a water bottle in the parade (possibly in a tiny backback), if required, but nothing else. Finish times are more difficult to predict but likely approx. 12.15pm in town and maybe 1.30pm in Dalyellup.
