The Scout Section is for girls and boys aged 11 – 14, new members almost 11 are welcome.

Some of the recent activities for Carey Park Scouts were canoeing, caving, cycling, hiking and camping. They also cooked on wood fires and catered for themselves, visited the Sea Rescue, learnt about First Aid and helped out with the Salvo’s Red Shield appeal.

The Scout section always welcomes more adult leaders and assistants. An interest in and desire to participate in outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, cycling, canoeing is highly desirable but there are other skills required too.  Admin/computer skills to assist Scouts in recording their progress and organise events. However, a sense of humour and willingness to be involved are essential.

To ensure that Scouts do not miss out on events that they wish to participate in, it is essential that responses and payment are made by the due date. Carey Park Scouts uses Operoo to provide Medical and contact information. All members should receive emails about all events asking whether your Scout will be attending, please respond promptly to assist with planning. If you have not received an email, please contact us.
